Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) brings together farmers and consumers to share both the rewards and some of the risks of farming while reconnecting people to their food and how and where it is grown.

Zlatah Farms CSA Shareholders participate in the growing seasons of lamb, goat, goose, chicken, and rabbit from weaning/hatching to harvest by purchasing a whole (or a half--in the case of a lamb or a goat) share of a Zlatah Farms live animal. This is done through a series of monthly CSA Share payments over the course of the growing season that will allow your animal to reach it's optimal harvest weight. At the end of the growing season, and upon receipt of payments in full, we will issue you a bill of sale for your live animal and deliver your live animal to the local USDA-inspected processor, where the animal will be humanely slaughtered and processed to your specifications. You pay the processor directly for slaughter and processing when you pick up your meat.

By making a financial commitment to our farm for a growing season you become a Zlatah Farms CSA Shareholder. We’ll send you regular updates on your lamb, sheep, goat, goose, or chicken. You’ll know how your animal is being raised and what you’re putting on your family’s table. We’d be happy to arrange a time for you to come see our farm and visit the herds and flocks. This effort represents a way to more affordably supply healthy, natural meat that is raised locally, ethically, and sustainably. Here at Zlatah Farms, we are aspiring to work together as a community to achieve food that is organic, GMO-free, naturally and pastorally raised and as happy and healthy as possible--and we can't do that without your help.
